Charter flight or individual tickets? How to Choose for Your Team.
Five questions to help you decide how to transport your employees based on group size, destination, and schedule, before requesting a quote.
5 Questions to Ask Before Deciding How to Relocate Your Team
There is no single answer: it depends on the size of the group, the destination, and how fixed the schedule is. These questions help HR, purchasing, or administration make a decision before requesting a quote.
How many people are traveling together?
For one or just a few people, individual bus tickets are usually the most practical option. When a large group is traveling at the same time, it’s worth getting a quote for a charter.
Does the destination have a bus terminal?
If the final destination is a facility, construction site, or location far from the terminal, the charter bus can go there directly; with regular bus tickets, an additional transfer will be required.
Does the schedule match the regular runs?
If there are scheduled departures at the times you need, individual tickets are fine. Early morning departures or special departures are better suited for charter flights.
Is this a one-time trip or a recurring one?
A one-time trip can be handled well with tickets. Recurring trips using the same equipment and route usually warrant a dedicated service.
Is everyone coming back at the same time?
If each employee returns on different dates, individual tickets offer flexibility. If the round-trip is as a group, a charter flight simplifies things.
What's usually best in each situation
A quick reference. Your advisor will confirm the option and the actual cost based on same-day availability.
| Setting | It's usually a good idea | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Few people, route with frequent departures | Single tickets | Flexible scheduling and no dedicated unit fee |
| A large group that leaves and returns together | Charter | One unit, all together, one coordinated effort |
| Destination without a nearby terminal (plant, construction site, mine) | Charter | It goes straight to the worksite |
| Employees returning on different dates | Single tickets | Everyone plans their own return |
| Event or conference with a set agenda | Charter or Group Reservation | Schedules aligned with the event |
